6 Reasons Why Blogger Is Better Than Wordpress

Blogger vs WordpressThe problem that every newbie blogger faces is the selection of a blogging platform. Assuming that any one who wishes to get started with Blogger, I believe the points that I have mentioned below are enough to choose Blogger as a blogging platform over WordPress. But before I could make any point here, I would just like to say that its all about setting priorities. I would say that its totally up to the user. Below are the six points that make Blogger a better blogging platform than Wordpress.

1. 100% Free Hosting

Free Blogger Web Hosting
What does that mean? It means that Blogger provides 100% Free Hosting with up time! No need of worrying about your blog getting down in your entire blogging career. Now that's something bloggers always keep looking for. But sad to say that WordPress doesn't provide any hosting service for free. It actually does but your WordPress blog would be a sub domain of Wordpress (yourblog.wordpress.com). Where as, you simply pay 8-10$ every year (to buy a domain) and then your blog looks like a professional self hosted blog.

2. Customize Your Template Easily

Easy Template CustomizationIn WordPress, it is not actually simple to customize your template's coding. This is one of the major factors due to which I recommend Blogger over Wordpress. Unless you don't pay for a template that suite your choice, you would hardly get any template that is 100% perfect with all those best blogging tools installed inside it. It would never happen.

 So I would say that its really a huge plus for Blogger, we could easily install a simple template, one with just a sidebar and a footer. Now further template customizations can be easily done through Edit HTML option with the help of tons of online tutorials to make your template look like a professional one.

3. Earn Money Without Any Investment

Earn Mony OnlineWorking with free WordPress i.e as a sub domain of wordpress (yourblog.wordpress.com) doesn't actually allow you to put Google Adsense ads. You actually need to invest your money to buy domain and hosting for your blog and only then, you will be able to add Adsense Ads. But on Blogger even with sub-domains (yourblog.blogspot.com) you can easily display Google Adsense ads. Also the installation part of the widgets is easy as installing Adsense Widgets hardly take few seconds!

4. Faster Indexing In Google

Blogger being bought by in February 2003 Google, is given more priority by Google as it's Google's own service as compared to other websites and blogging platforms. A Blogger hosted blog actually gets indexed faster by Google as compared to WordPress.

Many times faster rate of indexing is the key tool towards most of the success of popular blogs.

5. Ease of Use / Integrated Into Google

I think you should have already got the point here. Notice how Google is expanding these days. Either its a mobile operating platform or a blogging one, its always under the name, Google.

So actually with a single login (Google account login), you can access all your Blogger blogs under one dashboard. Overall, its pretty easy to handle Blogger blogs as compared to Wordpress.

6. Blogger Blogs Are Totally SEO Optimized

WordPress users often talk about the extra SEO optimizations that WordPress blogs enjoy. Actually there is no such case. The same level of search engine optimization can be achieved in Blogger blogs. The only difference is that WordPress blogs are provided with an extra option to automatically add meta tags to individual posts, and that can be manually done through the posts Edit HTML option of the Blogger blogs.

To Summarize

So I guess that there is hardly any thing that WordPress users enjoy and Blogger users don't. When you aren't actually getting any extra benefit from WordPress that you don't get from Blogger, then why should you spend extra loads of money over hosting? That's the first question that I ask every blogger who thinks that Wordpress is better and has features that Blogger lack.

So, Blogger or WordPress? Which blogging platform do you prefer? Kindly vote your answer by posting a comment :>

Google PageRank Update Schedule 2013

Google PageRank Update Schedule The incoming links towards a website or blog determine its success in the SERPS and increases its trust in the eyes of Google.  Each website is ranked on the basis of quality incoming links and this Rank is known as PageRank. This is a very old algorithm and I don't think I need to explain it as you all would be familiar with it. I guess you all know the benefits of a higher Google Page Rank in Promotion of any website.

This is the reason behind webmasters always keeping one eye on Google PageRank update. Google doesn't do it on regular basis. Neither there is a fixed time for this. There is no one who can tell exactly when next Google PageRank update will take place. Google keeps few things hidden and you never get the idea behind why Google does this

As per expected, on November 2012 Google PageRank update took place. Keeping this in mind that, PageRank updates took place on May 2012 then August 2012 and then November 2012 so I have came to the conclusion that Google is rolling out these updates. So now according to my calculation, I have developed a list for PageRank Update schedule for 2013.

Google PageRank update schedule for 2013,

First PR Update January 31 - February 1st Week
Second PR Update June 28 - July 1st Week
Third PR Update September 28 - October 1st Week or Earlier
Fourth PR Update December 15 - January 1st Week or Later

These are just roughly calculated by me. The PageRank Updates might take place between these dates or earlier or later. We can’t say anything right now because Google never does things on time!

Why your Pagerank is not increasing ?

Everyone knows that PR depends on getting thousands of Backlinks from a site that has the same niche as your website or blog. Every Single backlink matters. It is better to build high quality backlinks from one site rather than low quality backlinks from different sites. I will write a post on this so stay tuned. You can also submit your website to Free article directory submission site and Free classified websites which bring you a lot of visitor and backlinks from that site. I will also write a post on this. If you wish to be emailed when the next post is published then kindly subscribe to our free daily email updates.

The first update isn’t far ahead, so start Building links.  Cheers :)

Google Image Search Now displays Image MetaData!

New Google Image SearchGoogle is considered as having the best technology when it comes to image searching. The expertise of Google in this area can be measured from the fact that Google can actually search for the text within the images in your Google Drive. But here, we are only talking about the mainstream users of Google, who prefer Google Image Search over the other search engines such as Yahoo or Bing. The actual secret behind this is that Google performs some of the most accurate image searches on the web! Now, according to latest news, Google is now releasing a new improved structure for its image search, improving the performance, speed and making the image MetaData now visible to its searchers!

What's New with this Image Search?

Google has now actually redesigned the whole interface for its image search to bring a better experience to its users and improve the Click-Through-Rate (CTR) for images overall. This new design includes a repositioning of the images into an inline panel, which is fast, easily accessible and  attractive all at the same time! You can now use your keyboard to flip through the images.

Another big change (significant for webmasters, we'll shortly discuss) is that, the Metadata of the images is displayed right next to it in search results after clicking on it. Now, this will really help the users a lot as they now won't need to open up a new tab to see information about the image.

Another big improvement in the new design is the removal of the source page from the background of an image. This really wasn't necessary, so Google had to remove it. Now not only the images load faster, it also reduces the load on the host server of Google Image Search, hence preventing bandwidth issues which is the reason behind Google closing services.

How Does this Affect Webmasters?

With these new changes being introduced, one thing is for sure: Google will try incline users more and more towards its image-searching. If you have been following news from the industry lately then you might have heard Google already saying that these new changes have increased the overall CTR for images. So, now the question is that how does this really affect webmasters?

First of all, they will now need to optimize their images which was and still is considered a good SEO practice and now after this new introduction, Tagging images has become much more important, because the ALT and title tag are now also responsible for driving traffic towards your blog. So if your images are not properly tagged, they will not appear in the proper places in Google search results. Read this post on tagging images to learn more about driving traffic.
Now you will have to create valuable metadata for your images. This will surely help your images to get a high rank in search results, as well as ensure a good click through rate for your images, hence your blog a lot more traffic than before if you have implemented these optimizations wisely.

Note: This service has just been introduced and it will take a few more days to be implemented fully on all images. So if you don't see any changes, just give it a couple days or so. And stay tuned for more updates. Peace :)

Even with thousands of tutorials being published, MBT has many unique tricks to offer to optimize and monetize your blog. After started to optimize your blog, amongst your first priorities should be to understand the loop holes of Blogger (even after being owned by Google) that really slow down the traffic rate of a blogger blog. How To Delete Blogger Comments –Trash Icon Bug fixed!

Blogger Comment Trash Bug Fixed As of 16 February 2011, almost 156 million public blogs have been published online.On October 13, 2012, there were around 77 million Tumblr and 56.6 million WordPress blogs in existence worldwide. Out of which, 95% Blogs use un-official blogger templates coded by third party developers. But those who use un-official blogger templates face many problems. One problem most commonly found is that they can’t delete the comments on their blog because they can’t see a trash icon or dustbin icon. Many people have suggested various methods of deleting the comments without a trash icon but the question is that why can’t you actually see a Comment Trash Icon delete comments?

What was the reason?

It was a headache for me on how to solve this issue. Online tutorials offered nothing and none of them worked. So I decided to figure it out myself. As AlhamdulillAh my developing skills some how have now improved a little bit. I started checking each comments sections in my template to find the reason behind it and then finally after some hard work, I found out that the reason behind this problem of the trash icon not showing up. Actually it was easier than we expected. There is just a small piece of codes missing due to which the icon was not appearing. So all you have to do is follow the extremely simple steps,

Fixing The Trash Icon Bug

  1. Go To Blogger > Template > Edit HTML
  2. Backup Your Template.
  3. Check
  4. Search for the code below,
<dd class='comment-footer'>

     5.  Just below it  paste the following code,

<span class='comment-timestamp'>
              <b:include data='comment' name='commentDeleteIcon'/>
            </span>

     6.  Save your template and preview your blog post to see a beautiful trash icon below each comment.

Comments Trash Icon

Troubleshooting

If for some reason you still can not see a trash icon below your blog comments then follow an additional step.

     1.  Inside Edit HTML search for,

<b:includable id='commentDeleteIcon' var='comment'>

         You will find a similar big chunk of code below it,

<b:includable id='commentDeleteIcon' var='comment'>
  <span expr:class='&quot;item-control &quot; + data:comment.adminClass'>
    <a expr:href='data:comment.deleteUrl' expr:title='data:top.deleteCommentMsg'>
      <img src='http://www.blogger.com/img/icon_delete13.gif'/>
    </a>
  </span>
</b:includable>

     2.  If you are not able to see a trash icon then most probably this piece of code will not be well scripted. Simply replace your current code with the bolded green code shared above.

     3.  Finally save your template to really see a trash icon this time!

Any Further Help?

I hope this will greatly help many Bloggers, designers and developers in dealing spam comments more effectively. I request everyone to kindly link back if you wish to share this tutorial with your readers. If you have anymore further questions then kindly comment and I will help you. Peace and blessings :)

Facts Indicating Dark Future of FeedBurner - Bloggers Concerned

Feedburner RIP
I guess you all are familiar with FeedBurner. It is a widely-used email subscription service, and even if you're on a premium email subscription service, there are chances are that you are using FeedBurner as well. For some bloggers, FeedBurner is everything they need. Whatever the case though,  as you all may know that AdSense for feeds has officially shut down completely on December 3rd, 2012, after which the main thing concerning the Bloggers now is that will FeedBurner survive?
If that does happens anywhere in the near future, it will have a huge impact on the Bloggers, especially those who are popular enough, having a huge subscriber list. I was also contacted a lot about this question.

Well actually the answer is maybe yes or maybe no. Google has been slowly discontinuing services related to FeedBurner from the past 15-16 months. FeedBurner is actually the very first name that comes in the mind of every blogger when asked for an absolutely free email subscription service. But it seems that this is gonna change soon enough. Today I present you some facts which I think clearly indicate that the future of FeedBurner is not that bright.

1. FeedBurner API Deprecated

FeedBurner API Deprecated

FeedBurner API was deprecated more than a year ago and has now completely shut down on October 20, 2012. The shutting down of API doesn't directly affect the main FeedBurner service, though some WordPress plugins and other software which used FeedBurner API will stop working. FeedBurner API was in service for over six years but this won't really effect the bloggers. This just shows that Google is not showing much interest in FeedBurner now.

2. FeedBurner Japanese (.jp) Domain Expired

Feedburner Japanese Domain

Google failed to renew the Japanese domain of FeedBurner, at the end of July 2012. All the Japanese users who were using FeedBurner service from that domain lost all of their subscribers, metrics, audience and everything. If this move was intentional, then the worse thing is that there was no prior notice or warning of any kind. Google actually does warn almost a year ago before shutting down any service and even if it was accidental, Google is never so irresponsible. But now the domain is owned by someone named Satoshi MITO and it has been parked. There isn't any word yet by Google for the reason of expiration or maybe they just don't bother about that domain. We don't know if they are even trying to get back that domain.

3. FeedBurner Subscriber Count Zero Problem

Feedburner Count Zero

You all may be familiar  with this recent problem that all the FeedBurner subscriber count was showing zero. The problem was solved but it took around a week to solve it. This shows how much Google is paying attention to FeedBurner now.

4. FeedBurner Blog & Twitter Account Discontinued

Feedburner Goodbye Post

Also after the Japanese domain expired, the official FeedBurner blog and Twitter account was also discontinued on July 26th, 2012 stating a goodbye message. The fact is that they both were discontinued near to the same day when the Japanese domain expired. We can somewhat or maybe completely sure that there are not gonna be any new features or updates in FeedBurner now.

5. No Support anymore

Feedburner Help Forum

The contact link of FeedBurner redirects to the login page or My Feeds page and since their Blog and Twitter account being signed off, the only remaining option for FeedBurner's users was the FeedBurner Help Forum which now again is not watched or monitored anymore by any Google employee.

6. AdSense for Feeds Shutdown

Feedburner Adsense

The latest buzz is that AdSense for feeds has shutdown as well, in the first week of December 2012. Although any blogger can find out an alternative for this and this shutting down of Adsense for feeds doesn't really affect the Bloggers much, but it is mentioned here as it is also another strong factor to consider that Google isn't showing any interest in FeedBurner now.

Conclusion:

The above facts show a deep possibility that the future of FeedBurner is not that much bright enough. But I want to know that:
  • What do you think?
  • Is FeedBurner really gonna close?
  • We pray it doesn't shutdown but if it does, how big the impact will be on your blog?
Share your thoughts, discuss with us and let us draw a conclusion together. Peace and Blessings!

Learn CSS, HTML and JavaScript Offline!

MBT HTML Editor
The biggest problem faced by almost every newbie blogger and web developer is editing a template. And the main reason for this is lack of awareness with browser languages like CSS, HTML, JavaScript etc. There are several websites online that have tutorials in these fields and one of such websites is www.w3schools.com. OK so now lets say you know the browser languages now where do you practice them and put them to good use? In this case w3schools is my favorite website and it is popular because it lets you play with the code! It has an Online HTML Editing Tool that lets you see live preview of the code that you use. Every developer including me has found this tool pretty useful. I thought that you guys those who are not aware of this should have a chance to have fun playing with important codes like CSS, HTML and JavaScript and learn important coding in a more interesting way! Well fortunately after some trial and error we could successfully create a similar tool entitled as “MBT HTML Editor”. Now you can actually test a code before adding them to blogger!

I guess this tool is better than any other HTML Editor found online or available as a software, or you can say the best tool available in the following ways,

  1. It works Offline in any browser available.
  2. Takes less than a fraction of a second to show live preview of your codes.
  3. It is even smaller than a peanut as its size is 1.63 KB.
  4. Code is saved in the browser if your computer accidentally shuts down.
  5. You can go back several times using Ctrl + Z and go forward using Ctrl + Y.
  6. Can be used to test a code for Cross Browser Compatibility!
  7. It is free of charge thanks to MBT! :D

Downloading Instructions

You can use this MBT Editor Both Online and Offline if you want.

  • Click this link –> MBT HTML Editor
  • The MBT HTML Editor will open. Now you can start using it Online but to work offline in it you need to save it first. To save it, press Ctrl+U and then the source file will open up and then copy all the codes from there and then paste in a notepad and save it as HTML Editor.html ( .html is important)
  • Done!
Troubleshoot:- In IE a Security alert may appear, ignore it by right clicking on it and then selecting Allow Blocked Content.

Instructions For Using MBT HTML EDITOR

This tool consists of two panes i.e left pane and right pane. See a screen shot below,

HTML Editor Instructions

The left pane is the area where you add your CSS and HTML codes and the right pane is the area where a visual view of the code is displayed. The CSS code is added just between <style> and </style>  and the HTML code is added just below </style>.

Note:- Where it is written Add Here it means Add HTML Code Here

Playing With A Code

Lets now play with a code using our HTML Editor. I am using the easy Image Opacity Effect Trick here as an example,

The CSS code for Opacity Effect looks like this,

img {
filter:alpha(opacity=100);
-moz-opacity: 1.0;
opacity: 1.0;
border:0;
}
img:hover {
filter:alpha(opacity=30);
-moz-opacity: 0.30;
opacity: 0.30;
border:0;
}
Now to apply this effect to an image we will need an HTML code as shared below,

<img  class="Fadein"  src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjsqB9nV7kb4uCPgvqxfCWmYJiM-DXAQyNBrPDYcuxBrLIkbowDMhn0w6zwp2ioSov86vsbaIdK08FqKGzvdseHgGqueeW1zbx78eGXZRX6qckG5Ev_ZGDlxYfB4fKSpV43igDJM0OJO7h-/s400/DIGG.png">

Now The best part, add the CSS code just between <style> and </style>  and the HTML code just below </style>. Hit the Preview button and watch the dancing code in action in front of your eyes. You can now start the play!

See this screen shot,
MBT HTML EDITOR DISPLAY

Some Important Tips:-

  • To go backward to previous changes, click Ctrl + Z
  • To go forward to last changes made, click Ctrl + Y
  • Once you are happy with the code that you prepared then simply paste the CSS code just above ]]></b:skin> inside your blogger template and the HTML code where you want the effect to be seen i.e post or sidebar

Need Any More Help?

I hope that this editing Tool will be of great use to bloggers and web developers across the globe. I hope you will find it even more easy to better understand and learn the  browser languages and implement them to invent new codes. Do let me know how useful you find it and how much this new cool tool helps you. We played our part and now its your turn to spread the message! Peace :>

10 Practical Tips To Improve Google AuthorRank To Increase Traffic

Top 10 tips to improve Google AuthorRank
In the last two posts of this series, we have been discussing a lot about Google AuthorRank or AR; what it is, and how it differs from PageRank, Why is it Important. So I guess that by now, you guys should have a pretty good idea of what's gonna happen in the near future. The concept of ranking Authors for delivering quality search results to Google users and weeding out spam from Google's roots seems pretty good, and this new development could change the ranking of many sites and almost change the whole SEO game as we all know it. This would surely not only affect the revenue of those sites but also many things such as PR, Readership, Performance in the SERPs etc. I guess it is needless to say that it's surely the high time we all started preparing for it. In the last post of our Google AuthorRank series, we'll share the top 10 practical tips to improve your AuthorRank to help you prepare for this new ranking system and increase your traffic in the future when this is introduced.
Google AuthorRank Series
Part3: 10 Practical Tips To Improve AuthorRank
While Google PR was mostly about the core of the content and number of sites linking in, AR focuses more on how the content is received, how it performs and what is the author's performance and social activity. Hence, we believe that this can be a well game changer in the near future. Here we have gathered the top 10 tips you need to know before Google officially launches AR.

1. Write Quality Content

Of course, the first step that every blogger must take, is to come up with quality content. Quality content is also the cornerstone for further more developments. If you want your readers to like your content and engage with it, then you should try to make your content worthy of such. And it should be something worth sharing as well. You should not just write on something very very common and something you can find on every other site. In other words I'm trying to say is that you should act unique. I am not saying to not write on what your competitor has written but to write it in your own way. Give it your own unique style.

2. Set up Google Authorship

The next most necessary step would be to set up Google Authorship. This is very important, because this is how Google will identify you, and associate your content with a digital signature. Without associating a digital signature to your piece of content, It will be difficult for google Not only do you get a nice little rich snippet next to search results, along with your profile picture, but you also get recognition. And once you do, only then will you get an AuthorRank. I have done will do a nice little post about it, so be sure to check it out!

3. Go Social

As mentioned in the last posts of this series, the emphasis here is now shifting towards 'social'. This is a big factor that will effect your Google AuthorRank. Your presence on the  social media, and your fan following on twitter, Facebook etc. will be crucial to your success in the SERPs. So try to get active on popular social media, such as Facebook, Twitter, Google+, YouTube, and so on. Try to increase your fan following as much as you can, and interact with people.
Go social

4. Pay attention to All Social Media Especially Google+

While socializing, pay special attention to Google+. Google wants you to use their social network more and more! So the more you and others share your posts on Google+, +1 posts, comment on others, and get followers, the better AuthorRank you'll get. Also, the number of people who have you in their circles is a key factor too like the number of sites linking to you in PR, so don't forget that.

5. Create Valuable Contacts

Just like backlinks contribute towards PR, your contacts, especially those on Google+ and GMail, contribute towards AR. The number of contacts, as well as the quality of contacts will also matter. So start connecting and socializing with people, and keep a look out for people with a high AR. Because a high AR contact will be a blessing for you as a high-quality PR will have.

Google+ Contents

6. Encourage People to Share your Stuff

Another factor that Google will take into consideration when evaluating AR is how your content is received and how it really performs. The more +1s and shares it gets on Google+, the better it'll be for you. So encourage people to share your content, and participate in other conversations so that others will participate in yours. But do make sure that before you ask others to share what you have got, make sure you have quality content that's worth sharing.

7. Communicate

Your AR will also depend on how much on-site engagement you have. This is measured by how many comments you get on your posts, and how many you reply to. So to increase your AR, get into the habit of replaying to your readers, and encourage them to participate in your debates.

8. Specialize in a Topic

AuthorRank will also be topic dependent. This means that if you get a good AR in one topic, for example, a professional chef will have a good AR when it comes to cooking recipes, but that doesn't give him a good AR in technology related posts. So for that, you probably will need to focus in one field, at least at first, and get a good hold of your AR on that particular topic before moving on to others.

9. Give Importance to Guest Blogging

With the introduction of AR, guest blogging will gain a lot of traction. People would want guest bloggers with a good AR to write on their blogs, since it will help their own PR in turn. So get used to this idea beforehand. For your AR, it is important that how many sites you have published your content on, and how good those sites are. When AR comes, you don't want your old guest posts on cheap, low-quality websites to hold down your AR. So concentrate on writing for a few good quality sites, and you'll definitely get a good AuthorRank.

10. Help People Out

Finally, the last tip is to help people out as much as you can whether on your site or not. Doing this they will start liking you and then bring them to your site. Interact with your readers, and answer their questions to encourage them more and bring more readers, since socializing is what this is all about. Readers want a source that they can trust. And they'll trust and respect you if you respect them and reply to them and help them out.

There goes the top 10 tips list. Hope you liked it, and have learned something from it. If you have questions, feel free to ask. And do tell us how you liked this small series. Good luck :)

Solution To Why your Profile Picture Doesn't Show In Google Search?

Everyone including me finds it really exciting when they experiment something and then receive positive results. I had been experimenting to find reasons on why author profile picture is not displaying in Google search results page for some web owners/bloggers. I applied every single formula but succeeded with an extremely simple solution to the problem. You can see my Google+ profile picture appearing just fine in search results.  Or you can simply paste any of our blog post link in Google to see the result. This new feature is known as Google Authorship which is surely an excellent way of claiming the Authorship of your content in Google search results and also the best way to attract more and more traffic towards your blog.

What Is Causing The Profile Pic Not To Display?

The reason why author picture is not displaying for most of the websites is  because of unbalanced image size ratio of the profile pic. Google correctly displays a thumbnail image only if it has equal width and height dimensions.

As you can see on many blogs the image is rectangular and it can not be automatically turned into a square thumbnail by Google robots because they know that doing this will badly destroy the image quality. To solve this problem I thought that resizing the image by giving it 128px by 128px in size and using JPEG format will make it easy for robots to detect a good match of author thumbnail and display a square thumbnail of my profile pic in search results.

 Google Authorship Profile Photo

Now Google robots can easily and automatically create the following quality thumbnail profile pic on all my published articles by resizing my original pic to 44px by 44px in size without affecting the quality.

How To Show Author Profile Picture Correctly?

The steps mentioned here are kept as easy as they could be because here we will share a more correct approach. This is what you need to do:
  1. First add your Google Plus Profile link anywhere on your blog sidebar using the following code:

<a href="Google Plus profile Link"
rel="author" target="_blank"> Join me on Google+</a>

rel="author" will tell robots that you are the actual author of the blog. Make these changes:

  • Replace Google Plus profile Link  with your profile link. Example my link looks like: https://plus.google.com/103854977183845827762
  • You can replace Join me on Google+ with any text you like. (Optional)

This is how the link looks on my blog:

Google Authorship Setup

     2.  Next add a attribute to your About Us Page just inside your blog anywhere you like. I have added this link to my blog footer using the following code:

<a rel="author" href="http://www.mybloggingtricks.com/p/about-author.html">About</a>

This is how it looks on the blog:

Google Authorship Setup

You can give it any title you like but add it either to sidebar or footer.

     3.  Now this is the most important part. Inside your About Page add your profile pic with dimensions 128px by 128px in size and using JPEG format. Also start the first line of the paragraph with your Google plus profile link using the following code:

<a rel="me" href="https://plus.google.com/103854977183845827762" title="Shahabuddin Danish">Danish</a>

Here rel="me" will again further authenticate you as the original owner of the blog. Remember to add your full name next to title and add your Google+ profile link instead of my profile link and your  name instead of Danish.

     4.  Now go to your Google+ profile and click “Edit Profile”

Google+ Edit Profile Button

     5.  Then click "Links" area as shown below,

Google+ Edit Profile Button

Add your Blog homepage URL and also the URL of your About Us page. You can also add your Facebook and twitter links if you wish.

Next you must do this:
     6.  One Final step is to Upload a quality Profile Pic of yourself on Google Plus. Your image will look best if it is 150px by 150px in size or you can use the same 128px by 128px  size profile pic that you added to your blog about page.

     7.  Finally Save your profile.

Note: If you are using Blogger Profile then go to Blogger and Set the same image as your Blogger Profile Picture also.

     8.  In order to ping Google robots that you have updated your About Us page, you can also submit your about us page at http://blogsearch.google.com/ping because its better to submit your to Google for re-indexing. You can skip this step if your PageRank is 2.0 or above.

Now just wait for at most two days and you will see your profile picture appearing just perfectly in Google search results, giving a professional touch to your blog :)

Test How your profile photo will appear

In order to see how your image will appear. Visit rich snippets tool and submit your homepage link in the search box and hit preview.

If you have followed the tutorial correctly then you will profile authorship will be verified. You will see a green verification message saying: "Verified: Authorship markup is verified for this page"

If you seem to be getting errors then revise the tutorial and retry and retest until you get no errors at all.

Need Help?

You are most welcomed to ask anything if not cleared. You are more then welcomed to post your queries. I wish that the profile pictures show up as easily as it did for me without needing to wait any longer.

Please share this post with all your loved ones to share the knowledge the way we did. This is the only favor we request in return. Peace and blessings pals! :)

Design a Professional Looking "About Us" Page for Your Blog!

Design About Us Page
Designing a professional "About Us" page for your blog should be amongst your very first priorities. A dull or unprofessionally designed "About Us" page will have a bad impression. Your visitors always have the right to know who you are, what you do and where you belong. Your "About Us" page is your Identity page where you add a little bio of your self and then explain the purpose of your blog and then explain the purpose of your blog. You can say that it is a important page for both your regular visitors and advertisers. So always make sure that you should leave a good impression on them by presenting your self well. Creating a "About Us" page will also further help you to set up Google Authorship

Live Demo

How To Create this About Us page?

I have kept the design neat and clean if you follow the instructions. I have also tried to keep the steps easy as much as I could.
  1. Copy all the data from your existing About Us page and keep it safe in a Notepad.
  2. Now delete each and every thing on your About page.
  3. Now you will need to write four things. First write a fresh bio about yourself  in no more than 3-5 lines. Then take your best picture and add it to the left. Now write three paragraphs.
  • In the first paragraph write about when your blog was launched and what is its progress i.e Alexa Rank, Readership etc in 5-6 lines.
  • In the second paragraph you write about your skills, services and goals in minimum 8-10 lines.
  • In the third paragraph you should write the purpose of your blog in 5-6 lines.
Note:- Use passive voice and avoid using "I am this and that" rather use a tone that may sound as if someone else is describing the author.  Read my About Us Page to better understand how to do it.

Now once you have done the writing work, start enclosing each paragraph one by one between these codes,

<div dir="ltr" style="text-align: left;" trbidi="on">
<a href="Your Best Image Link Here" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img src="Your Best Image Link Here" title="Your Name Here" /></a><span style="font-family: arial black; font-size: small;">Your Name Here</span>     <br />
<div dir="ltr" style="text-align: left;" trbidi="on">
<div dir="ltr" style="text-align: justify;" trbidi="on">
<span style="font-size: xx-small;">FOUNDER &amp; AUTHOR</span></div>
<div dir="ltr" style="text-align: justify;" trbidi="on">
</div>
<div dir="ltr" style="text-align: justify;" trbidi="on">
<span style="color: black;">Your Bio Here<br />
<br /></div>
<div align="left" dir="ltr" style="-moz-border-radius: 15px; -webkit-border-radius: 15px; border-bottom: #686868 5px solid; border-left: #686868 5px solid; border-radius: 10px; border-right: #686868 5px solid; border-top: #686868 5px solid; padding-bottom: 10px; padding-left: 15px; padding-right: 10px; padding-top: 10px; text-align: justify;" trbidi="on">

<br />
<div dir="ltr" style="-moz-border-radius: 15px; -webkit-border-radius: 15px; border-bottom: #686868 5px solid; border-left: #686868 5px solid; border-radius: 10px; border-right: #686868 5px solid; border-top: #686868 5px solid; margin-top: 10px; padding-bottom: 10px; padding-left: 15px; padding-right: 10px; padding-top: 10px; text-align: left;" trbidi="on">

<br />

<div style="text-align: justify;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-P8YViubc8ao/UNyHG8K_guI/AAAAAAAAA34/AJWbX6LMtnE/s1600/purpose%5B6%5D.png" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-P8YViubc8ao/UNyHG8K_guI/AAAAAAAAA34/AJWbX6LMtnE/s1600/purpose%5B6%5D.png" /></a>Here write Your Blog Purpose in 5-6 lines.</div>
</div>
<br />
</div>
</div>
</div>
</div>

Make these changes:
  • Replace Your Best Image Link Here with the image you want to appear on the left of you bio.
  • Replace Your Bio Here with the fresh bio you have written about yourself.
  • Replace Here write about when your blog was launched and what is its progress i.e Alexa Rank, Readership etc in 5-6 lines. with the info about your blog like when was it launched and what's its progress.
  • Replace Here write about your skills, services and goals in minimum 8-10 lines. with the paragraph that you had written in 8-10 lines about your skills, goals and services.
  • Replace Here write Your Blog Purpose in 5-6 lines. with the purpose of your blog.
    4.    Finally save your page and publish it. Now visit your professional About Us page to see it in action! :>

Note:- You need to write in approximately the lines given. If you won't take care of the lines then your About Us page will not look clean and the images won't be able to adjust themselves.

Need Help?

I think you won't need any help if you follow the whole tutorial. If you need any help just feel free to post your queries. I will try to help you as much as I can. I just hope you succeed in creating an attention seeking About Us page that may let your blog stand out! Have fun. :>

How to Remove Feedburner Logo From Buzzboost Widget?

Remove Feedburner Logo From BuzzboostFeedburner Buzzboost Widget lets you display headlines of your recent comments using your RSS Feed. It is a fast loading well scripted and beautiful widget designed by FeedBurner but it has one bad side. By default the widget includes a credit at footer that says "Headlines By Feedburner" which discourages many users from using it. First of all I thought it was almost impossible to remove this but due to the promise that I had made to you guys in the last post, I tried hard and then figured out that it was not that difficult to find a way for it after I had expanded the JavaScript code used to power this widget and then this code provided me access to all the CSS IDs and classes. Lets now remove the logo "Headlines by Feedburner"
FeedBurner Recent Comments Widget
Part2: Remove Feedburner Logo From Buzzboost Widget

How it Looks?

Below is how the widget looked before in my footer and how it now looks,

Before
FeedBurner Recent Comments Widget
After
FeedBurner Recent Comments Widget

Note:- This might look different in your blog according to the place where you place it. In my blog, it is in the footer.

Remove FeedBurner Logo

The code for your recent comments look like this,

<script src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/mbtcomments?format=sigpro" type="text/javascript" ></script>

You just need to add the following code above the code of the Recent comments widget,

<style>
/* Removes Buzzboost Logo by www.shady1hacks.blogspot.com */
div  #creditfooter{
display: none;
}

</style>

Finally your Resulting code should look something like this:

<style>
/* Removes Buzzboost Logo by www.shady1hacks.blogspot.com */
div  #creditfooter{
display: none;
}

</style>
<script src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/mbtcomments?format=sigpro" type="text/javascript" ></script>

Save your widget and visit your blogs to see that thousand dollar worth widget working just fine.  Have Fun! :)

How it works?

Technical Side For Web Designers
The javascript that loads the widget looks contains the CSS classes and IDs for everything that appears inside Buzzboost. The JavaScript code provided by feedburner looks like the following:

And upon expansion it gives you the access to all data required to completely customize the look of the widget:

document.write("\x3cdiv class\x3d\x22feedburnerFeedBlock\x22 id\x3d\x22BurnThisRSS29e7afepqu1thh06o0bqpv4csjg\x22\x3e"); document.write("\x3cul\x3e"); document.write("\x3cli\x3e\x3cspan class\x3d\x22headline\x22\x3e\x3ca href\x3d\x22http://adsenseforfeeds.blogspot.com/2010/10/your-stats-right-away.html\x22 target\x3d\x22_blank\x22 \x3eYour stats, right away\x3c/a\x3e\x3c/span\x3e"); document.write("\x3cp class\x3d\x22date\x22\x3e10/25/2010\x3c/p\x3e"); document.write("\x3c/li\x3e"); document.write("\x3cli\x3e\x3cspan class\x3d\x22headline\x22\x3e\x3ca href\x3d\x22http://adsenseforfeeds.blogspot.com/2010/04/enabling-social-sharing-with-feedflare.html\x22 target\x3d\x22_blank\x22 \x3eEnabling social sharing with FeedFlare\x3c/a\x3e\x3c/span\x3e"); document.write("\x3cp class\x3d\x22date\x22\x3e4/23/2010\x3c/p\x3e"); document.write("\x3c/li\x3e"); document.write("\x3cli\x3e\x3cspan class\x3d\x22headline\x22\x3e\x3ca href\x3d\x22http://adsenseforfeeds.blogspot.com/2009/12/socializing-your-feed-with-twitter.html\x22 target\x3d\x22_blank\x22 \x3eSocializing your feed with Twitter\x3c/a\x3e\x3c/span\x3e"); document.write("\x3cp class\x3d\x22date\x22\x3e12/14/2009\x3c/p\x3e"); document.write("\x3c/li\x3e"); document.write("\x3c/ul\x3e"); document.write(" \x3cdiv id\x3d\x22creditfooter\x22\x3e\x3ca href\x3d\x22http://www.feedburner.com\x22 target\x3d\x22_blank\x22\x3e\x3cimg src\x3d\x22http://www.feedburner.com/fb/images/buzzboost-pwrd.gif\x22 alt\x3d\x22Headlines by FeedBurner\x22 style\x3d\x22border:0\x22/\x3e\x3c/a\x3e\x3c/div\x3e"); document.write("\x3c/div\x3e");

The credit footer ID is responsible for the appearance of the logo image in gif format which has the following URL: http://www.feedburner.com/fb/images/buzzboost-pwrd.gif

I couldn't delete this part the code as this was saved on FeedBurner's server so what I did was that I simply added display:none property to the div section to completely deactivate this function and this worked out well.

Any Questions?

Stay tuned for some amazing new custom css styling codes that will simply turn your simple Feedburner widget into a more professional looking plugin. If you have any question related to this widget then you may post a query. Peace!

Why Description Meta Tags Not Showing In Custom Templates?

Search Description blogger
Meta Tags are very important in SEO terminology. They help in increasing traffic towards a blog. It assigns a introduction about a blog post, page or the blog itself. Without these Meta Tags the search engines won't know what the blog or page is about thus reducing valuable traffic. Since they are so important they should be added bu the main problem many newbie bloggers face is that Meta Tags for Homepage, posts and pages wont display in custom templates. This is because custom templates are coded by third party designers and therefore we would manually need to insert the necessary code to make this feature of latest search preferences work in your customized blogs. The method is really easy. We would delete any existing Meta Tag for description inside your templates and would replace it with a dynamic code that will act as a meta tag both for homepage and as well as for individual posts and pages.

Enable Meta Tags in Blogger

First and foremost you will have to activate the meta tags feature without which it is impossible to add Meta Tags . To do this follow these steps:
  1. Go To draft.Blogger.com > Settings > Search Preferences
  2. Click the Edit link
  3. Choose "Enable Search Description?"
  4. Inside the box describe your blog in no more than 150 characters. Use our Character Counter Tool
Blogger Meta Description

      5. Click Save changes

This will automatically add meta description for your blog homepage and you will also activate the Search Description option inside Post Editor.

Blogger Post Description

Now the meta tag for description is added but still will not show up neither to you nor search robots if  you might be using a custom blogger template. In order to fix this problem and add the necessary code follow this:
  1. Go To Design > Edit HTML
  2. Backup your template
  3. Just below <head> add the following code for meta description,
    <b:if cond='data:blog.metaDescription != &quot;&quot;'>
      <meta expr:content='data:blog.metaDescription' name='description'/>
    </b:if>

        4.   In order to avoid repeated use of Meta Description you will need to delete the static meta tag code that you added previously using old traditional way. This code is located somewhere below <head> and can look like the following:

    <meta content='YOUR BLOG DESCRIPTION MENTIONED HERE' name='description'/>

    or like this:

    <b:if cond='data:blog.url == data:blog.homepageUrl'>
    <meta content='YOUR BLOG DESCRIPTION MENTIONED HERE' name='description'/> </b:if>

    Instead of the text "YOUR BLOG DESCRIPTION MENTIONED HERE" you will find description set by you for your blog.

          5.   Finally save your template and you are all done!

    Why Write Search Description?

    Search Description or Meta Description for post, if written well can rank you higher by providing search robots with a brief summary of your entire post. Robots love brief and precise snippets of texts that describe the entire concept behind the post. I hope I really helped you people. Peace and blessings brothers. :)
