6 Actions Taken against Blogs that are Flagged

Some days ago, we posted all the things that are against Google's policy. And if you do something against the guidelines, it will result in your blog getting deleted. But sometimes people get lucky and their blog doesn't get deleted but at least gets flagged by people reporting your blog for violation. Google has a flag queue where you blog enters after getting flagged. Then a guy reviews those blogs and if everything is OK then they let that blog go. Otherwise, action will be taken by Google against the blog simply to maintain the quality and safety of Blogger, and to ensure that nothing of that sort happens again in the future.

Google doesn't send the admin of the blog an email informing them about the situation. Then how can you tell if your blog has been penalized? Well you can tell when the following things below happens to your blog, as these are the actions that are taken against blogs found guilty of violation(s)

Actions Taken against Flagged Blogs

Disabled Blogger account - If you have been copying content, then you might end up getting your blog deleted.

Blog becomes visible only to the author - Only you will now be able to see your blog. If your blog will have multiple authors, it will also be only visible to them. And no one else will be able to see or search your blog.

Deletion of offending content - Google will remove all the content from your blog that is violating its policies. As long as you have no such content, your safe. And honestly speaking, this is actually the least thing that could happen to your blog.

Disabled Google account - OK, things are now getting serious. If your violation is serious, then Google won't just disable your Blogger account. Your entire account, with all the associated profiles and Google products will then be deleted!

Mature content interstitial - If you host adult content on your blog, then it will be placed behind a 'mature content interstitial'. After this your site will no longer appear in Google's safe search and will only appear to users who have family filter turned off. This will effectively reduce your traffic.

Reporting to law enforcement - OK, now the things are getting pretty real, so I guess its better to snap out of it. If you're involved in promoting illegal activities, then you might get reported to local authorities or law enforcement agencies. So now would be a good time to pack your bags and run away.
