6 Reasons Why Blogger Is Better Than Wordpress

Blogger vs WordpressThe problem that every newbie blogger faces is the selection of a blogging platform. Assuming that any one who wishes to get started with Blogger, I believe the points that I have mentioned below are enough to choose Blogger as a blogging platform over WordPress. But before I could make any point here, I would just like to say that its all about setting priorities. I would say that its totally up to the user. Below are the six points that make Blogger a better blogging platform than Wordpress.

1. 100% Free Hosting

Free Blogger Web Hosting
What does that mean? It means that Blogger provides 100% Free Hosting with up time! No need of worrying about your blog getting down in your entire blogging career. Now that's something bloggers always keep looking for. But sad to say that WordPress doesn't provide any hosting service for free. It actually does but your WordPress blog would be a sub domain of Wordpress (yourblog.wordpress.com). Where as, you simply pay 8-10$ every year (to buy a domain) and then your blog looks like a professional self hosted blog.

2. Customize Your Template Easily

Easy Template CustomizationIn WordPress, it is not actually simple to customize your template's coding. This is one of the major factors due to which I recommend Blogger over Wordpress. Unless you don't pay for a template that suite your choice, you would hardly get any template that is 100% perfect with all those best blogging tools installed inside it. It would never happen.

So I would say that its really a huge plus for Blogger, we could easily install a simple template, one with just a sidebar and a footer. Now further template customizations can be easily done through Edit HTML option with the help of tons of online tutorials to make your template look like a professional one.

3. Earn Money Without Any Investment

Earn Mony OnlineWorking with free WordPress i.e as a sub domain of wordpress (yourblog.wordpress.com) doesn't actually allow you to put Google Adsense ads. You actually need to invest your money to buy domain and hosting for your blog and only then, you will be able to add Adsense Ads. But on Blogger even with sub-domains (yourblog.blogspot.com) you can easily display Google Adsense ads. Also the installation part of the widgets is easy as installing Adsense Widgets hardly take few seconds!

4. Faster Indexing In Google

Blogger being bought by in February 2003 Google, is given more priority by Google as it's Google's own service as compared to other websites and blogging platforms. A Blogger hosted blog actually gets indexed faster by Google as compared to WordPress.

Many times faster rate of indexing is the key tool towards most of the success of popular blogs.

5. Ease of Use / Integrated Into Google

I think you should have already got the point here. Notice how Google is expanding these days. Either its a mobile operating platform or a blogging one, its always under the name, Google.

So actually with a single login (Google account login), you can access all your Blogger blogs under one dashboard. Overall, its pretty easy to handle Blogger blogs as compared to Wordpress.

6. Blogger Blogs Are Totally SEO Optimized

WordPress users often talk about the extra SEO optimizations that WordPress blogs enjoy. Actually there is no such case. The same level of search engine optimization can be achieved in Blogger blogs. The only difference is that WordPress blogs are provided with an extra option to automatically add meta tags to individual posts, and that can be manually done through the posts Edit HTML option of the Blogger blogs.

To Summarize

So I guess that there is hardly any thing that WordPress users enjoy and Blogger users don't. When you aren't actually getting any extra benefit from WordPress that you don't get from Blogger, then why should you spend extra loads of money over hosting? That's the first question that I ask every blogger who thinks that Wordpress is better and has features that Blogger lack.

So, Blogger or WordPress? Which blogging platform do you prefer? Kindly vote your answer by posting a comment :>
